 SPEC-FAB isolated phase bus is the end result of sound engineering, good manufacturing facilities, skilled workmanship and quality control. A quality assurance program has been established to satisfy the requirements of: Canadian Standards Association Standard Z 299.2 ISO 9002 In order to be completely effective, our quality control program is in operation continuously, while the level of monitoring activity may vary depending upon specifically contracted commitments. Design and production tests are conducted on SPEC-FAB bus in accordance with the latest ANSI specifications. These tests are used to assure soundness of design and to provide the data for continuing research aimed at improving the operating efficiency of the equipment. Field Installation Methods Supporting structures are shipped in pieces or subassemblies and each is numbered and keyed in with the drawing. Each section of bus is shipped complete with insulators and conductors in place, while units are coded and identified with a specific number and location on the drawing. Connectors are either factory welded on one end and field welded on the other, or bolted together in the field. When bolted, all necessary hardware is supplied. Each part is numbered on both piece and print. All necessary insulation points are marked on the drawing. Supervision of Installation A service man for the supervision of installation can be provided for such time as is required for proper installation of the bus. Instructions will be given as to the method of packing and making of parts and correlating them with the installation drawings.
